The Full Story

Breitling made some pretty awesome chronographs back in the day, and this example is no exception. This reference 1191 features a yellow gold–plated case with a stainless steel caseback. The watch is powered by the trusted Venus 188 chronograph movement and the chronograph buttons are still super crisp. But the best thing about this watch is the killer champagne-colored dial. It is perfectly balanced with two registers and a light blue tachymeter scale. The lumed hands are sharp and the Arabic numerals make this watch feel sportier than usual.

What we Love and What You Should Know

This watch is in incredible condition, however the case was probably lightly polished and re-plated at some point. It still looks great, however. The dial is beautiful and shows minimal signs of aging. The chronograph function is crisp and works well. Overall, this is a fantastic piece.
