The Full Story

Since its introduction in 1962, the Heuer Autavia has become one of the most recognized watches produced by the manufacture; the name Autavia is a combination of "auto" and "aviation," indicating the targeted industries for the model and its functions. The Autavia was available in several different variations and color schemes over the years. This 1980's example features an unusual combination of a black dial with dark grey registers, while the more common color combination was black and white with bright hands and accents. Additionally, this example is powered by the automatic caliber 12 movement, which has a hidden rotor when you open the watch. Overall this this a fantastic example of a desirable timepiece.

What we Love and What You Should Know

This awesome watch is in equally awesome condition. With minimal scratches on the case, this watch has maintained its integrity over the years. There is one noticeable scratch on the caseback, as well as two nicks underneath the top and bottom left lugs. The numerals on the bezel have faded slightly over time, but are still legible. Overall, this is a great timepiece.
